I qualified from Stellenbosch University in 2002 as a Speech, Language Therapist & Audiologist. This means that I am a specialist language teacher. I have 7 years experience and have worked in the UK and South Africa. I teach language (e.g. voaculary, sentence construction, grammar) and speech sounds (e.g. specific sounds like /s/ or /th/). This is also great for helping improve pronunciation. I have also completed an intensive TEFL course to enhance my teaching abilities with regard to teaching English as a second language .
Personal Information
I am from South Africa. I studied Speech Therapy and Audiology at Stellenbosch University. After I qualified, I worked in the UK for 5 years. During that time, I travelled to Ireland, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Russia and Austalia. I love meeting people from different countries. I am very interested in different cultures. I enjoy sports. My favorite is rugby, I support the Springboks. I also love cooking and I try new recipes whenever I get a chance. I enjoy reading and watching movies too. I love working with people. I believe learning should be a natural, comfortable and fun experience.
