Personal Information
Jacqueline Noel, also called “Madame Noel” by her students, is a native speaker of French who is fluent in English. She was born and raised in Belgium but she has lived overseas for the past 27 years. Her husband was raised in India and her four children were born in the USA, India, and China. She herself has lived in many different countries and she enjoys keeping in touch with her former students who are scattered all over the world. Her rich international background gives her the ability to interact with students from various cultures. Her youngest son, who has Down syndrome, motivated her to take a lot of special education classes and she became a great believer in inclusive education. It impacted her teaching approach and made her very aware of how very special each one of her student is. She is very patient with students who are struggling and she enjoys finding new learning tools for them. On the other hand, she likes to provide challenging activities for her more gifted students. When she is not teaching or traveling, Jacqueline enjoys gardening, hiking, biking, swimming, and volleyball. Spending time with friends and family is also extremely important to her. Jacqueline has recently moved from Vietnam to settle down in the United States in order to meet her son’s educational needs. She is now looking forward to using her teaching experience in an online setting.
